Crown’s Care Fund
Helping Pets and People
Crown Veterinary Specialists spends tens of thousands of dollars every year providing free and lower cost care to pets whose owners may be experiencing financial difficulties, as well as abandoned and shelter animals.
Crown established its own foundation—The Crown Care Fund—to expand our commitment to helping pets in need. In partnership with the Veterinary Care Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation, we are able to help save critically ill and injured pets who are cherished by their owners.
Because the foundation’s operating expenses are funded through Crown Veterinary Specialists’ membership dues, 100% of every dollar donated to Crown’s Care Fund is used for the medical treatment of sick and injured animals.
Foundation funds are intended for the following use:
Funding for Good Samaritan cases
Assist pet owners in financial crisis
Care for police/fire and service animals
Provide support to pets of families in crisis
Funding for pets harmed or displaced due to local disaster (such as weather, fire, etc.)
Supporting local animal welfare and rescue organizations
Funding recipients must have a treatment plan and estimate from Crown Veterinary Specialists and demonstrate that all other payment options have been exhausted including:
Personal finances (credit cards and Care Credit denied)
Donations from family members and friends
Additional fundraising efforts
