Michael Brown DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Michael Brown received his undergraduate degree in Human Biology at the University of Kansas and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. Following a small animal internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, he returned to Kansas State for a three-year comparative ophthalmology residency and received a Master of Science degree for his biochemical study of animal tears. Dr. Brown became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 1996.
Dr. Brown’s special interests include: diseases of the retina, cornea, corneal surgery, intraocular surgery, pharmacology, continuing education and client services. He has published numerous scientific papers and is a noted lecturer throughout the United States. Dr. Brown is currently the Continuing Education Chairman for the Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and is the owner of Veterinary Ophthalmology Services, a company that strives to improve and preserve animal vision and quality of life by providing the highest quality, comprehensive, and compassionate ophthalmic care for pets.
In his free time, Dr. Brown enjoys spinning, biking, hiking, the outdoors and traveling.
